Serving others is central to our Christian faith and practice reflects the heart of God and the example set by Jesus.
At Christ Our Savior we have many ways that people can serve.
A quick way to become involved can be to help with Sunday Services. These include volunteering for roles as Ushers, Greeters, Lay readers, Counters, preparing the Communion Table (Alter Guild), preparing the Church Pews, running the Audio Video equipment, helping in Fellowship Kitchen. These roles are filled by volunteer teams so the work is spread out and you are scheduled when you are available.
There are a number of teams that are necessary to run the Church. They include the Facilities Team, Grounds Beautification, Finance Team, Endowment Committee, Marketing and Advertising, Fellowship Team and the Intercessory Prayer Team.
Christ Caring for People through People ...That's the motto of Stephen Ministry. The Stephen Minister's role is to bring God's love into the lives of people who are going through a difficult time or experiencing a crisis.
What do Stephen Ministers do? They listen to you, care for you, support and encourage you, and pray with and for you. And in the midst of this confidential, one-to-one, caring relationship, God's healing love comes pouring through.
If you or someone you know is facing a crisis—large or small—and could benefit from the caring presence of a Stephen Minister, talk to one of our Stephen Leaders or call our Church Office for contact information.
Our Stephen Ministers are ready to care for you!
All inquiries are strictly confidential.
Our Church Library Ministry provides our members with Christian resources such as books, DVDs and pamphlets and periodicals. They purchase, process, catalog, cover, inventory and shelve materials so they can be easily found and lent out. They keep the library organized and staffed on Sunday mornings to assist members. They keep members up to date on new and interesting materials to consider.
The Card Ministry supports our Church Family, our Missionaries and our Seminary students with cards for birthdays, anniversaries, get well, holidays and sympathy occurrences. The ministry meets monthly to make stamped and 3d type cards from scratch. Typically, the group makes over 450 cards per year.
Our Church does not own a cemetery but we do have a Columbarium which was completed and put into service in 2019 in response to the desire of our members who have chosen cremation to have a final resting place for their urns. This ministry maintains the Columbarium and manages the sale of the niches and planning needs for the congregation.
Quid, si non sensus modo ei sit datus, verum etiam animus hominis? Nec vero sum nescius esse utilitatem in historia, non modo voluptatem. Duo Reges: constructio interrete. Tum ille timide vel potius verecunde: Facio, inquit.
