Learning Together

Learning is the second pillar of our Vision at Christ Our Savior – A Place to Worship, to Learn and to Serve. We believe learning results in individual Spiritual growth and a stronger relationship with God that becomes a beacon of light for Christ in our community. The more we learn of Christ’s teachings the better equipped we are to bring others to Him.

During our Sunday worship, sermons follow our scripture readings with needed explanations and interpretation to further clarify these passages. Bible study and discussion occur between the two Sunday Services often with multiple classes offered in break out rooms.

Bible Studies and Classes

During the week we offer multiple Bible studies focused on the books of the Bible or Faith related themes. We conduct New Member classes called Lutheranism 101 for folks who are not as familiar with the history and beliefs of the Lutheran Church.

We have a Church Library with Faith related books with an abundant array of study materials to provide additional learning/study resources that can be loaned out to members. Various Faith related magazines, pamphlets and prayer booklets made available.

Workshops and Gatherings

Workshops are offered typically two times a year usually on Saturdays where speakers will come in to discuss topics such as witnessing to others, other faiths or current direction of the Lutheran Church. We offer a Grief Share program for those who have lost a loved one.

Music Lesson and Creative Growth

Music is a key component of how we praise and glorify God at Christ Our Savior. Music plays a significant role in spiritual growth by fostering emotional connection, creating a space for reflection and prayer and inspiring a deeper understanding of faith. It can enhance spiritual practices, serve as a tool for worship and community, and even offers solace and encouragement during difficult times. We offer many opportunities in our music programs. We have two choirs, a tone chimes group, a small orchestra, and other various instrumental ensemble groups. These groups, along with praise bands and soloists offer many opportunities to be included within our worship services, along with fellowship gatherings and concerts.

We offer private piano, drum, guitar, flute and violin lessons to members and people in the community and also have homeschool music curriculum opportunities.
